How long do your candles last?

Our 8.5 oz candles burn for at least 40 hours. Maximize your burn time by trimming your wick before each use.

What are fragrance notes?

Fragrance notes refer to the individual components or scents that make up the fragrance in a candle. These are defined as top, middle or heart, and base notes.

  1. Top Notes: These are the initial scents that you smell when you first burn a fragrance. Top notes are usually light and fresh and provide the first impression of the scent. However, they tend to evaporate quickly.
  2. Middle/Heart Notes: These notes emerge once the top notes have evaporated. They make up the body of the fragrance and are often floral or fruity. Middle notes contribute to the overall theme and character of the scent.
  3. Base Notes: These are the foundation of the fragrance, providing depth and stability. Base notes are typically rich and long-lasting and emerge after the top and middle notes have dissipated.

Candle Care

How do I safely burn my candle?

Safe burning is essential to making the most of your candle. Follow this guideline to ensure you get the best and safest burn each time:

  1. Trim your wick before each burn to at least 1/4" to maintain the optimal flame height. Untrimmed wicks can lead to excessive soot, smoke, or mushrooming. Wick trimmers or nail clippers can be used to do so.
  2. Do not leave your candle unattended and always burn within sight.
  3. Never move a hot, burning candle. Jars become hot when burned!
  4. Keep candles out of reach from children, pets, and drafts.
  5. If the flame gets to high or jar too hot, extinguish your candle and trim it before relighting.

How often should I trim my wick?

Wicks should be trimmed to 1/4" before each burn for an optimal burn.

My candle is not performing as I expected. What do I do?

Flame problem

If your flame is too high and smoking/sooting, simply extinguish the candle and trim the wick before relighting.

Scent problem

Not trimming the wick can also lead to a hotter burn which affects the scent throw. Different scents also have different scent throws. Some are naturally stronger than others. Also, different size candles are suitable for different size rooms. Our 8.5 oz candles are perfect for bedrooms!

Can I reuse my jar?

Yes! Follow these steps to clean your jar:

  1. Burn out remaining wax
  2. Fill jar with boiling water, but not too hot that it will crack the jar. This allows to remaining wax to soften and the wick sticker to loosen.
  3. Allow wax to rise to the top and cool so that it can be popped out.
  4. Remove wick and wick sticker.
  5. Clean with dish soap.
  6. Enjoy your new jar! It now now be used for storage, decoration, or anything you would like!

When will I receive my order?

All candles are created in micro-batches and must individually pass quality control to ensure a product of exceptional quality.

Please allow 3-7 business days for the processing and packing orders. You should expect to receive your order 3-5 days after it has finished processing.

Please note that once your order has shipped, we are unable to change the shipping address or reroute the package. 

How much does shipping cost?

There is a $7.00 flat rate fee for US shipping. All orders over $100 will ship for free.

Can I pick up my item(s) locally?

Absolutely! Choose local pickup at checkout and you will be notified of a pickup location in Charlotte, NC.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your item arrives defective or damaged, please email us at soulisticwicks@gmail.com so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Do you offer returns/exchanges?

Your satisfaction is most important.
